What I suggest it to make a copy of your project's folder in move it to a completely different location (that is NOT in the default documents\RPGVXAce location), then load in and work on your project from the new location and hopefully that should resolve things. I've noticed that sometimes even after "disabling" Steam Cloud for VxAce, that it still sometimes wants to save to the Steam Cloud (you may notice this more after creating a new project or if you're loading & saving your project to within the default documents\RPGVXAce folder location).
